Blue Moon Lammas Eve Thoughts
Last night, I spent some time out on the back porch looking up at the moon and letting my mind go quiet. I’ve been letting myself tense up over the upcoming new book release, only three days away now, and I know that being all tense and jittery about its performance is the best way for me to ensure it does less than it could. By being nervous, I’m confirming that I’m not certain it will do well. I have been trying to let go of it, to accept in peace and grace that it will rea

Why Be Grateful for the Bad Stuff?
Blessed Mabon, to those who celebrate this beautiful holiday otherwise known as the Autumnal Equinox. This is a time when our focus is on two energies: the energy of the harvest, and the energy of perfect balance.
This the second of the three harvest festivals observed by many. The first was Lammas, early in August, and the third is the final harvest, Samhain, where the energy is quite different.
For today, it’s about abundance, about gathering in all that the Universe so g

Exploring Gratitude: The Little Things
Whenever I start talking about gratitude, and focusing on what I’m grateful for, the same things come to the top of my mind. My family. My home. My pets. My talent and the ability to make a living using it (which is what I consider one of life’s greatest gifts. But that’s another post.)
When I do a gratitude post on Facebook and ask others to list what they’re grateful for in the comments, I see that their lists are very similar to mine. Then, last Sunday, I was watching an

Do You Know What You Are?
I got most of this sitting in a lawn chair by the pond experiencing the world around me after a very stressful week last fall. And suddenly I was laughing at how much fun it all was. In that moment I was Spirit. And this is what came through me so fast I had to rush indoors to write it down. You deserve to live in a palace! All of you. Oh, if you only knew what you are. You are Source, and you are Source’s pointguard. You, YOU are the creator. You create what you desire with

22 Days of Gratitude
This month on my Facebook Page, readers are joining me in expressing gratitude each day from November 1st – Thanksgiving (in the US, November 22nd.) I’ve blogged elsewhere about The True Meaning of Appreciation, but I wanted to touch on it here too. To appreciate something, we don’t just notice it and add it our list of “things I’m thankful for.” Rather, we notice the thing, and then we take some time to bask in it. We spend a few moments truly relishing this person, place

Snowblog!
We finally got snow here at Serenity! I’ve been waxing happy over the 40 degree winter temps and how I can go running outdoors several times a week (Cause I’m recently tough enough to run outside in winter, but still too wimpy to do it if it’s less than 35. One day I did it at 27. Didn’t like it. Don’t do stuff I don’t like. ‘Nuff said.) But back to the subject. I was really enjoying the warm winter. And then today, I woke up to the most breathtakingly beautiful snowf
