The Artist’s Art of Observation
All Creators are First Observers We don’t get the urge to tell stories until we’ve first been told stories. Whether it was our mother or grandmother, teacher or sibling, babysitter or friend, weaving a tale of her own, or reading to us from a fabulous book. The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins, or Hop on Pop or the television set, we saw or heard or read stories. We loved stories. And so we gave birth to the desire to tell stories ourselves. Everything Is New Again!
The energy of this day is powerful, and it’s the energy of rebirth. The time between now and mid-summer is a time of rapid growth and expansion. That’s certainly the feel of things in my neck of the woods. This blog has been reborn. We are now BlissBlog.org, and that’s just the beginning of our growth and expansion this season. We have a lot in store for you, and I hope you’ll stay for the ride. I have a newsletter just for BlissBlog folks, and while I haven’t sent out a sing

The Book That Writes Itself
I’m having the rare, delicious experience every writer dreams about; the book that is writing itself. It’s like magic. And as I’m blissfully relishing it, I’m also trying to figure out what might have instigated it. Because it seems to me that all my books used to come this easily, and now, or lately at least, it almost never happens. I hadn’t realized it until it started happening again. The last book I wrote seemed to be the turning point. I was in the middle of a trilog
