LOA 101
Law of Attraction Law of Attraction, LOA for short, is a real force, much like gravity. It’s not a belief or a religion or a fun bit of folklore. It’s the spiritual physics of why things work the way they do. And in short it means that we “attract” the people and experiences of our lives to us. No one asserts them upon us. We aren’t being rewarded or punished. We aren’t cursed or blessed. We aren’t being kept down by others. And our lives are not random. People having tough t

A Winter Solstice Ritual of Release
This is my second Winter Solstice post this year, but I felt inspired, so here you go! It's Winter Solstice What you'll need You’ll need a small fire. You can make a bonfire outside near sunset, or use your fireplace if you have one. You can use an iron cauldron or other fireproof container in a room without smoke detectors or outside. Write down the things you want to be rid of-not in too much detail. One or two words. “The accident” or “the incident” or “that person.” You’l

Samhain
By any name... Samhain is only its Gaelic name. Dia du Muertos in Mexican culture. Many peoples from many times and places set aside a day to celebrate and honor death and the dead, most frequently coinciding with the period surrounding the final harvest. This period is a time in-between times. Summer is over, and winter is already casting his shadow over us. We teeter on the precipice of autumn, watching it slowly cross-dissolve as the leaves fall. This is a powerful time. W

Manifestation 101
One of my inspired ideas has come to life, and I just want to tell you the process of how it happened, so you can recognize when it’s happening to you. (Hint: you are ALWAYS in one stage or another of this. Although some of us have to experience unwanted to generate the big idea, and others of us have a little trouble shifting focus off the problem and onto the solution.) It happened in spring I wanted a shop like this one! I was going to create a shop like this one. I was. T

A Mabon Ritual
During the day, gather several large leaves that have fallen from trees. These carry the essence of autumn, and of the balance of the equinox. During the night, sit before your Mabon fire, with the incense burning nearby. Or, if indoors, sit before your cauldron with a tea light burning inside. Be sure you have room to move around the fire. Take one of the leaves, hold it in your hands, and think about something that has come to you during the spring or summer, or will come t

How To Be Happy Anyway
I think we all have. No matter what side of the political spectrum we are, everyone seems to be angry. And it’s contagious. I can’t turn on the internet or the television without getting angry. So I have to deal with that. Why not stay angry? Anger, you see, has ripples. It ripples outward and affects the people around us, the work we produce. Everything we touch becomes a match to anger, frustration, impatience, irritability. Anger ripples inward, too, and that affects our h

How To Get What You Ask For (and How Not To)
A while ago, I put it out to the Universe that I’d like a new revenue stream. Something that would be less work, but keep the income flowing in. Then I set about doing all sorts of acrobatics to create one. An Easier Flow It’s not that I want to stop writing. (Although I’d love to stop marketing!) But I wanted something else, something easy and fun that could keep income flowing even when I don’t feel like writing. Something my hot young hubs can keep going after I croak. Unl

What is light?
Here is what I got. I was shown my cupped hands, and my spirit-self pouring its energy down into them and from them into my body. I meditate near a rippling stream, so the sound effects assisted this vision beautifully. I directed the flow to my third eye, then to my throat and heart and on down. And then I felt this clear message: You don’t have to channel it. You ARE it. I am it. I am spirit. I am Source. I am light. The song, I Am Light by India Arie came to me and I lis

Magic Words
What's an affirmation? Basically, an affirmation is a sentence you say out loud to yourself frequently. The idea is that if you say something often enough, eventually, your brain accepts it as truth. And since your reality is based on what you believe, if you can change your beliefs, you can change your life. The problem The problem is, you already have some pretty solidly ingrained beliefs. No matter how many times I say, outloud, “I look just like Cindy Crawford,” I know i

The Wallow
I’m furious about something I don’t like instead of focusing on something I would prefer. And while the deeper the wallow, the stronger the desire it launches, I really need to get out of the mud. It’s not good for me in here. Until I can get back to my normal happy joy place, I’m paying attention to whatever this wallow has to teach me. Much like lucid dreaming where you “wake up” in your dream and realize it’s a dream and try to take charge, I’m being as woke as possible in

The Other Side
Dozer’s favorite seat–hubby’s lap When someone we love dies, it’s probably the hardest thing we ever have to deal with. And yet the transition is inevitable. And since everyone we know is going to leave sooner or later, and a good percentage of them will go before we take that journey ourselves, it’s a really good idea to get a solid grasp on what this transition is, what it means, where they’ve “gone,” and how we can still interact with them. The big mistake we make is avoid
