Should I leave?
5 Actionable Tips for Deciding
One of the most frequent questions I get from readers and clients is this one. Should I leave? Should I leave my unhappy marriage? Should I leave the job I hate? Should I move across the country and start over in a new place? When things are all but unbearably bad where were are, we want to get away from where we are. That’s perfectly normal. Ask the real question... The real question isn’t should I leave? The real question is, will things be

Why Life Has So Many Challenges: A Theory
I had one of my breakthrough moments last night, a note to my subconscious, delivered while I slept and all my blocks were down. It wasn’t a dream, it was something I woke up knowing, which happens sometimes.
Here’s what popped into my head.
Wouldn’t it be cool if, when one person did crunches, all people got washboard abs? That would be amazing. We could have one person working out and we would all look great. Or we could assign everyone a tiny bit. Like, some groups do

Three Ways to Be More Spiritual in 2014
Spirituality means different things to different people. To me, it means a personal relationship with my Source. I don’t equate spirituality with the practices associated with any particular faith. That’s religion, whether it’s Christian, Buddhist, Wiccan, or any one of the world’s roughly 4200 different religious traditions. To me, spirituality is personal. It’s what’s going on inside me. It’s how I relate to my higher self and to the greater whole. To me, spirituality isn’t

Winter Solstice Series, Part 3: How to Tune In
In Part One of this series, we discussed why and how the cycles of nature are also happening in us, and are therefore important to us. In Part Two we discussed what, exactly, is going on during this darkest season of the year, culminating in the shortest day and longest night. We discussed how it’s a time of reflection, deep pondering, quiet, processing, rest, and planning. Now we get on to practical matters. How, at this busiest time of all times, do we manage to embrace the

Stress Free Living, Part 3: Activity & Stillness
So we’ve talked about eliminating stress by cleaning up our diets. This is really one of the most effective steps you can take if you really mean it when you say you want to live a stress-free life. Now we’re going to add two more important and effective choices you can make, and they are opposite ends of the spectrum from one another. These two things are activity and silence. Your body is made up of energy. So is the food you eat and so is every situation to which you are e

The Care and Feeding of Spirit-For Writers!
Do you ever think about your higher self? That part of you that is bigger than this small bit that fits into this tiny body? The Whole of you? I do, I think about it a lot. One of the things I wonder about most is why? Why did something as big and vast and powerful as Spirit, decide to send itself forth into a physical container (body) anyway? It has to be because Spirit wanted to experience being physical. But why? As I pondered on this question during meditation I received

It’s All in How you Focus (Magical Living Post 3)
Life is exactly like this picture, if you multiplied it by infinity. Everything that happens to you can be looked at from a million million different perspectives, the ends of the spectrum being, “Nothing ever goes right for me!” and “I am constantly being guided by my Source to move in the direction of what I truly desire. So I am absolutely sure this happened for a reason.” That is nothing more than a shift in the way you choose to look at the situation. Every challe
