Magic Words
What's an affirmation? Basically, an affirmation is a sentence you say out loud to yourself frequently. The idea is that if you say something often enough, eventually, your brain accepts it as truth. And since your reality is based on what you believe, if you can change your beliefs, you can change your life. The problem The problem is, you already have some pretty solidly ingrained beliefs. No matter how many times I say, outloud, “I look just like Cindy Crawford,” I know i

Power-up Appreciation
I’d been planning to hold off releasing it until Tuesday September 4th, because everybody knows a Tuesday release has the best chance of hitting a big list. And because that’s the first Tuesday the astrologers say is okay. And because all the experts agree that a monthlong or longer pre-order period will maximize velocity of sales during opening week. But then I grabbed hold of myself, recognizing that I was thinking in terms of making things happen rather than allowing them

Why Be Grateful for the Bad Stuff?
Blessed Mabon, to those who celebrate this beautiful holiday otherwise known as the Autumnal Equinox. This is a time when our focus is on two energies: the energy of the harvest, and the energy of perfect balance.
This the second of the three harvest festivals observed by many. The first was Lammas, early in August, and the third is the final harvest, Samhain, where the energy is quite different.
For today, it’s about abundance, about gathering in all that the Universe so g

Sedona Insights, Part 2
So, I hiked up Bell Rock in Sedona, a site said to be a Vortex, a place where the earth’s energy is magnified, and felt more strongly. And the thing is…I felt it. It was very real, very powerful. As I came up a sharp incline in the trail, and emerged onto a large flat section, the vista that fell out before me, almost all the way around me, brought actual tears to my eyes. It was that potent. I know photos can’t possibly do it justice, but I snapped and snapped, (as soon

Sedona Insights, Part I
My timing couldn’t have been better. I hit Sedona just as the desert was beginning to bloom. Isn’t that amazing? I didn’t plan it that way. It just happened that I was invited to speak at the Desert Rose chapter’s conference, Desert Dreams, in Scottsdale, the last weekend of April. After the con wrapped up, my BFF Michele and I rented a car and drove up to Sedona with a day and a half to enjoy it. And the cacti welcomed us with their rarest and most beautiful display. T
