How to Use Your Birthday Wishes
Wishes are thoughts Thoughts are things. Thoughts exist. They have vibrational wavelengths. Everything that exists was once a thought. An idea. A notion. A daydream. Thoughts that are spoken, or written down, have already become a physical thing. A physical representation of themselves. It’s only one more step to become the very thing they are about. Everything is energy According to science, we’re made up of energy, and there’s more space between our atoms than there is phys

A Winter Solstice Ritual of Release
This is my second Winter Solstice post this year, but I felt inspired, so here you go! It's Winter Solstice What you'll need You’ll need a small fire. You can make a bonfire outside near sunset, or use your fireplace if you have one. You can use an iron cauldron or other fireproof container in a room without smoke detectors or outside. Write down the things you want to be rid of-not in too much detail. One or two words. “The accident” or “the incident” or “that person.” You’l

A Mabon Ritual
During the day, gather several large leaves that have fallen from trees. These carry the essence of autumn, and of the balance of the equinox. During the night, sit before your Mabon fire, with the incense burning nearby. Or, if indoors, sit before your cauldron with a tea light burning inside. Be sure you have room to move around the fire. Take one of the leaves, hold it in your hands, and think about something that has come to you during the spring or summer, or will come t

Spring!
It’s here, it’s here! The Vernal Equinox was yesterday. Today is the first full day of spring. Daytime and nighttime are equal, and from now on every single day will be a little bit longer, and every night will be a little bit shorter, until the longest day of them all, the Summer Solstice. To many this holiday is called after its old Celtic name, Ostara. To others, it has been adapted into Easter. And to those of us who live in the snowy northeastern US, it’s simply spelled

Law of Attraction Beltane Boost
May 1st, May Day, Beltane, is traditionally celebrated as the marriage of the Goddess and the God. It represents the fertilization and impregnation of the earth by the sun. And it’s the perfect time for fertilizing our own projects, goals, and lives with this same wonderful springtime power. An in-between time! In the world of natural magic, things that are “in between” are believed to have inherent power. Maybe because they contain the energies of two very different things.

Winter Solstice Energy and Ritual
Elf ears. It just happens this time of year. It’s the Winter Solstice! This is one of my favorite holy days, because it symbolizes the power of light over darkness and proves that life is eternal. In the middle of winter, it’s dark and it’s cold where I live. The trees are all bare, the plants have all withered, and the grass is covered in a blanket of white. Things seem very dead, but that’s just an illusion as death always is. The very shortest day precedes the very longest

Easy Wish-Making Rituals
3 Steps to Successful Wish-Making, in which I’ll teach you how to easily and quickly ritualize your wishing. Why a Ritual? When you launch a desire, it’s a thought on its way to becoming thing. Any time you focus on your wish in a positive way, you add to its power. I used to describe it as being just like rain. I remember in school being taught how the moisture condenses into a droplet, but isn’t yet heavy enough to fall, and how it sort of circles up again, gathering more m

Winter Solstice
Today, 12/20/2016, is the shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere, and tonight is longest night. The winter solstice occurs as the sun reaches its southernmost declination, and that happens globally at the same moment, which falls at 5:44 a.m. tomorrow, where I live. (Eastern Standard Time.) After that, the sun begins to move the other way, as perceived from Earth. (The sun isn’t moving, we are.) Tomorrow will be a little bit longer than today, and every day after

Samhain Meaning and Ritual
Samhain: “Sow’-en” Gaelic word meaning Summer’s End. Samhain was the final harvest festival of the ancient Celts, a time when the crops were all in, animals were slaughtered to provide food for the coming winter, and the Veil Between the Worlds was believed to be at its thinnest point of the year. Most of our Halloween customs, from wearing costumes to carving jack-o-lanterns, are based on the beliefs and traditions of the Celts. If you want a book that covers them all and th

Autumn Equinox, MABON
Tomorrow (9/23 at 4:21 to be exact) is Mabon, the Autumnal Equinox, and the first day of Fall. This is a time of perfect balance between sun and moon, equal length of day and night, and unconditional gratitude. There is balance between everything and its opposite, light and dark, day and night, perceptions such as good and bad, male and female, sun and moon. The lesson of this day is in recognizing that everything contains and includes its opposite, and that aside from the tw
